Five Light’s Pet Crematory was established in 1997 when Ken un-boxed a small retort next to the house for Claudia’s dream. They started with a few cremations a month to servicing western Colorado within the first ten years. Following Ken’s passing in 2006, their son Tyler joined the company full time. With his help and vision Five Light’s expanded into all areas of pet cremation with the addition of a new retort to include larger pets like horses. Eastern Utah was also added to the service area. When Tyler stepped away in 2016, their daughter Kourtnie and her husband Jason signed on to learn the business and continue with Five Light’s presence in Western Colorado and Eastern Utah. The youngest son, Garan with his wife Katherine have also joined the company. Five Light’s Pet Crematory has become a true multi-generational family business.
